Hexarelin is one of the most potent GHS-R1a agonist peptides, producing among the highest GH pulse amplitudes of any synthetic secretagogue. It also has documented cardiac protective effects independent of GH. This guide covers practical reconstitution and dosing for research use.
What Vials Typically Come In
Hexarelin research vials are available as:
- 2 mg vials (most standard)
- 5 mg vials
How to Reconstitute Hexarelin
Standard reconstitution for a 2 mg vial:
1. Swab rubber stopper with alcohol; allow to dry
2. Draw 1–2 mL bacteriostatic water into a syringe
3. Inject water slowly down the inside vial wall
4. Swirl gently — do not shake
5. Allow 2 minutes for complete dissolution
Concentration examples:
- 2 mg + 1 mL BW → 2000 mcg/mL
- 2 mg + 2 mL BW → 1000 mcg/mL
- 5 mg + 2 mL BW → 2500 mcg/mL
Standard Research Dosage Ranges
| Protocol | Dose | Frequency |
|---|---|---|
| Standard GH stimulation | 100–200 mcg | 2–3x daily |
| Cardiac research | 80–100 mcg | 1–2x daily |
| Combination with GHRH analogue | 100 mcg | 1–2x daily |
| Maximum GH output | 200–300 mcg | 2x daily |
Note: Hexarelin has a significant desensitisation profile with continuous use. Most research protocols recommend cycling (5 days on, 2 days off) or limiting continuous use to 4–8 weeks.
Injection Volume Table
Using a 2000 mcg/mL solution (2 mg in 1 mL BW):
| Target Dose | Volume to Inject |
|---|---|
| 50 mcg | 0.025 mL (2.5 units) |
| 100 mcg | 0.05 mL (5 units) |
| 150 mcg | 0.075 mL (7.5 units) |
| 200 mcg | 0.10 mL (10 units) |
Use the Dose Calculator to compute injection volumes for any target dose and vial size.
Frequency, Timing, and Cycle Length
- Timing: Bedtime injection is standard for GH pulse amplification; pre-workout timing used in some protocols
- Fasting: Administer fasted or 2+ hours post-meal for best GH response
- Cycle length: Due to desensitisation risk, hexarelin is typically used in shorter cycles (4–8 weeks) with rest periods
- Cycling: 5 days on, 2 days off; or 4 weeks on, 2 weeks off
- Combination: Combining with a GHRH analogue enhances GH output; hexarelin 100 mcg + Mod GRF 100 mcg is a common research stack
Storage
- Lyophilised vials: -20°C
- After reconstitution: 2–8°C; use within 28 days
