KYP Vendor Score
MethodologyRating Breakdown
MyBioSource earns a KYP Vendor Score of 87 out of 100 with a Grade A rating, placing it third in our 2026 vendor ranking. The defining characteristic of MyBioSource is catalog depth: with over 200 research peptides available, they offer one of the broadest selections in the US market, making them a valuable sourcing option for researchers who need compounds that more specialist vendors do not carry. The COA documentation program at MyBioSource covers the catalog with third-party batch certificates of analysis. HPLC purity data and mass spectrometry identity confirmation are provided with orders. The documentation quality is competent and appropriate for a broad-catalog operation, though researchers who require the highest level of analytical granularity will find that specialist vendors with dedicated quality programs provide a more rigorous documentation experience. For researchers sourcing across a wide range of compounds in a single order, MyBioSource offers a practical advantage: catalog breadth reduces the need to source from multiple vendors simultaneously. Their pricing is competitive at the mid-range, which combined with the catalog depth makes them a reasonable choice for protocol designs that require a broad set of compounds without a top-tier quality documentation requirement on every item. Sourcing strategy recommendation: use MyBioSource for compounds that specialist vendors do not carry, and use Grade A specialist vendors for your primary or most quality-critical compounds. KYP Score: 87 out of 100. Grade A.

Solid for volume sourcing, documentation is basic
For researchers who need broad access across many compounds at mid-range pricing, MyBioSource is a reasonable choice. Documentation could be more rigorous. Not my first choice for protocols requiring full traceability.
Functional but not best-in-class testing
Ordered two compounds. Both arrived with COA. Testing documentation is adequate but not as granular as what I get from my primary vendor. Gets the job done for less critical protocols.
Decent option for catalog breadth, not premium
COA documentation is present but feels more like a catalog supplier than a specialist peptide vendor. Product arrived as described, purity is fine. For broad catalog access it works. For rigorous research documentation, there are better options.
Good breadth, quality controls are present
COA is provided and third-party verified. The breadth of compounds is a real differentiator. Pricing is reasonable. Testing documentation could be more granular — would like to see lot-specific HPLC traces available.
Large catalog, documentation is adequate
The catalog depth is impressive — found compounds I could not source elsewhere. COA documentation is third-party but I have seen more detailed batch reports from other vendors. Adequate for most research purposes.
